Neil E. Reese,Sr., 65, passed away suddenly on April 5th, 2002. Born February 3, 1937 in Laurel, IN. He graduated from Rainer High School in Youngstown, OH in 1955. He served his country for 30 years and retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief (SK). He was a devout Catholic and eucharistic minister. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Marvis Reese (nee Doherty). He also leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Cheryl Reese Ellis (Jim) and son Neil E. Reese, Jr. (Jennifer). He is survived by four grandchildren who will miss him greatly, Keara Ellis, Kodi Ellis, Sean Reese and Shannon Reese. A brother, Marvin Reese (Ida) of Laurel, IN; brothers-in-law, Michael Doherty (Theresa) of Derry, Ireland, Tony Doherty (Catherine) of Kincardine, Canada and Pearse Doherty of Jacksonville Beach; sister-in-law, Ann Giovanizza Frank, Orange, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; mother, Leona McFarland; father, Deacon Earl Reese and step-father, George Snyder. Viewing will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 5752 Blanding Blvd. from 6:00 p.m.. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2002. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 with Father Victor Narivelil and Father Jim May as celebrants. Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd are in charge of the arrangements. God, Our Father, we commend our dear ones to Your mercy. We know that death is not the end but only a horizon that limits our sight, and that life with you is immortal and love eternal. St. Jude pray for us.
