Unfortunately, we were informed of the passing of a few shipmates:
Marvin Hoffricther, RM, 1942-1943, Died March 16, 2005.
Edward L. Gosnell, ET, 1963-1965, Died of natural causes on February 18,
1998, in Washington. Ed is survived by his widow Jennie, of Mill Creek, WA.
FOURTH,
A NEW section, The 500 CLUB, has been added to the web site, documenting
our "Derry Scholarship Fund" activities.
FIFTH,
THEN & NOW photos of new member Joseph 'Jody' Wells, ET, 63 to 66, were
added to the Members List.
SIXTH,
Visit our Reunions Section for the latest information on our 2007 Reunion
in Derry.
FINALLY,
Member Aubrie 'Al' Hess (USN(Ret), LT., 6/66 to 9/68) and his wife Betty
have volunteered to serve as permanent members of our "Derry U.S. Navy Museum"
Committee and to represent the Alumni Association board in any negotiations
regarding the establishment of a U.S. Navy Museum in Derry. Al and Betty will
keep the Board of Directors informed of any progress in this area, and the board
will pass that information along to the membership. Many thanks Al and
Betty!
