 THIRD,

 New "TAPS" Section Entries:

Gerald L. Heimbigner, RMC, 63-66, passed away May 22, 2004, in Lake Elsinore, CA. I played on the base basketball team for Jerry; he was a great guy, and he started me every game, so you know he was a great b-ball coach, as well. Lots of fond memories travelling around Ireland with him and the basketball team in that small, cramped base van. Ouch!

Danny Duddy, Civilian, who spent many a year at Ross Downey as the Base mechanic, passed away on June 25, 2006.

 FOURTH,

NOW photo of member John 'Jack' Butrovich USN(Ret), Lt., 68 to 70, was added to the Members List.

 FIFTH,

An addition to our "Searching For" Section.

Paul Kyle, at e-mail address: cepkyle@aol.com, is looking for David Garfield Willams, a SH2 at the base from 1963 to 1965. Send any info you might have on Willy to Paul Kyle, at his e-mail address.

 FINALLY,

Be sure to check out the latest info on the October 18-21, 2006 "Circa 1960 Group Mini-Reunion" at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Virginia Beach, Va. Remember: ALL MEMBERS are invited to attend this "mini" reunion, regardless of when you served in Derry.

And, in case you haven't visited it lately.....

We have a NEW link address for the photo album of member Gordy Bauschka (RM, 66 to 69), who created this album of 75 photos he took during the 2003 Derry Reunion, including many from the our visit to the "old base", and a stirring musical accompaniment of the song, "The town that I loved so well". If you haven't visited this site lately, do so now, as you will enjoy it -- it is listed in our REUNIONS section, under "Previous" Reunions.

 That's all for now.

All the best,

Jim "Sully" Sullivan, Vice-President USNLAA
