An extraordinary gift from Northern Ireland to all who would meet her. Born
Feb. 17, 1947 in Derry City Northern Ireland, Co. Londonderry to Daniel Columba
McCool and Rose Ann "Roisin" McFrederick. Married August 08, 1967
to Israel Cavazos Jr. "Rick", SCPO-USNAVY in St. Mary's Cathedral,
Creggan Heights, Derry City N. I. Bridget passed away peacefully surrounded
by her loving family on Friday March 02, 2012 at the age of 65. Survived by
her husband, her adored children Juanita Cavazos, Richard Cavazos (Melinda)
and Heather Ann Yanez (Eric) and her much loved and cherished grandchildren:
Alicia Cavazos Traeger (Tim), Audrey Marie Cavazos, Kyra Leigh Cavazos, Devin
Michael Cavazos, Jayden Traeger, Eric Dylan Yanez, Austin Ethan Yanez and her
most recent treasure Lil' Bridget Yanez. Also in Ireland by sister Frances Surko
(Norman), Brother Patrick "Finn" McCool and Eugene McCool. Additionally
many many nieces, nephews and inlaws in Ireland and South Texas who she loved
dearly. Bridget was especially fond of and loved her Texas mother-in-law, Juanita
Cavazos (+Israel Sr.) of Raymondville, Texas. Bridget was a direct descendent
of the Irish "Clan McCool".
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, March 5, 2012, with a 7
p.m. rosary at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville,
Texas 78580. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St.
Patrick's Catholic Church in LaSara, Texas. Interment will be at Rio Grande
Valley State Veteran's Cemetery, 2520 S. Inspiration Rd., Mission, Texas.
