ROBERT 'BOB' DUDE
Departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2020, age 77.
Beloved husband of MaryAnn for 44 years.
Devoted dad of Ricky (Cathy) Dude, Dr. Annie (Dr. Michael Abern) Dude, and Dr. Carolynn (Marco Rathjen) Dude. Proud grandpa of Ricky (Leia Morris) Jr. Dude and Danielle Dude, Lena, Remment, Max Rathjen, Violet, and Willow Abern.
Fond great-grandpa of Clara Theuerkorn, Xavier Dude, and Linus Dude.
Brother of Jeff Dude.
Bob Dude was the CFO of Family Health Plan and Family Health Systems from 1976 until 1998. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Surgicenter from 1990 until 1998. In retirement he volunteered for SCORE, advising people who were starting their own businesses on their finances. He also taught in Learning In Retirement for Waukesha County. His most beloved class was about Churchill. Bob was also on the utility committee of New Berlin for 13 years and helped to negotiate Lake Michigan water for the city.
Bob was an ardent history lover and belonged to the Civil War Round Table. He had a big heart, and will be missed by many friends.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, Tuesday, September 1, 2020, 4:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Door County Land Trust or the Sunset Playhouse.
Per Bob’s wishes, the family will have an Irish Wake at a later date.
