BRIDGES, Jack V. 90, passed away on September 18, 2017 at home. He was born on June 5, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late William and Leona Bridges. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was recalled for the Korean Conflict as a specialist in communications. His journey in the Navy took him to Northern Ireland where he met and married Annie "Fay" Bridges nee Orr. After the Korean War and 6 years of Active Duty Service, Jack was Honorably Discharged. .As a young man, Jack was very interested in Aviation and was a member of the Flying Shiner's in the 70's, he was also the Master of the Leo Lodge. Jack owned Bridges INC., an appliance store in Leo, IN for a number of years. After retiring from being a business owner, Jack decided he would run for office, in the Government since he had such a great interest in politics. For over 20 years he served as the Trustee Assessor for Cedar Creek Township. Jack also served on the Leo/Cedarville Sewer Board from its inception. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Annie "Fay" Bridges; son, Dennis (Roberta) Bridges; grandchildren, Michael and Kymberle Bridges, Shane and Eric Rhodes; and 2 great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded by death his daughter Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Bridges in 2004. No public services are to be held. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
