Richard N. Dey, 63, of New Port Richey, Florida, died March 20, 2010, under
the care of the HPH Hospice at the Marliere Care Center in New Port Richey.
He was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and moved to Florida in 1987 from Chesapeake,
Virginia. He served his country for over 20 years, first with the US Navy, where
he saw action during the Vietnam War, and later with the US Coast Guard as an
E6 ET1. He operated a business decorating homes for Christmas, and was known
for his Floral and Christmas design skills. He is survived by his beloved wife
Mary, sons Michael and Sean, mother Helene, and by his three sisters, Elizabeth,
Dorothy and Joanne. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010,
from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service at 12:00PM, at the North Meadowlawn
Funeral Home in New Port Richey (727) 849-9281. Interment with military honors
to follow at the Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, New Port Richey.
